Organized!!
I looove having things organized and in their place. Not saying I my house is by any means always clean, but I like having a system in place for things. I also need to have one “junk” kindof drawer that I can shove stuff into when need be – then every few months I’ll go through it and put those items where they need to go. Today I had a couple hours of nap time, nothing to... read more

Fab 5 Friday!
It’s that time again! Let’s see what made this week better… 1. Step 2 New Traditions Table and Chairs: As you may have already seen on FB, we got a great deal on a toddler sized table and chairs at a local store called Super Buys! This set is normally 60 bucks and we got it, new in box, for 25! It was super easy to put together, I have read great reviews about it’s... read more

Fab 5 Friday (catch up edition)
The last couple weeks I have been pretty blog-quiet. I was doing really well for a few months there – blogging every couple days or even every day during the April Challenge! Then I lost my mojo. It has been a crazy and challenging couple of weeks, you’ll see why below. You’d think that since I have had so much to do to keep me busy that I’d have a lot to write about, maybe... read more

Disappearing Act!
Hey guys! I know I have disappeared this last week, so sorry I didn’t finish the A-Z challenge with a bang! I have plenty of things to blog about but no time or words to make them happen. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to put up entries about Charlotte’s 15 month update, the Nashville Flood, and more. I have 2 new childcare kiddos that have started this week so my days are a little... read more

‘U’mbrellas and ‘U’nfortunate Timing
Today in Middle Tennessee we are keeping watch for some ugly weather! The mid-south (KY, TN, AL, etc) all have severe thunderstorm watches and warnings and many are expecting tornados, hail, and strong winds. I love a good storm, as long as those tornado’s stay away! It is days like today that I am thankful for our cars being able to fit in the garage! We can hear the tornado siren for... read more

‘S’truggles
Weight and diet is a constant struggle for myself, for Jeff too. Put the two of us together and we are either really bad or really good! You can see this struggle reflected in my post in March… and February… and January… Not that I expect you to go back and read them all since they pretty much say the same thing: We did great on our diet last March-August, and then have been... read more

‘R’unning through the trees!
This afternoon we had such a wonderful time outside taking a walk and then playing in the willow trees! Charlotte loved running through the leaves and branches! As she ran, she was tickled by the leaves and got the biggest kick out of getting all wrapped up in the long branches. I loved hearing her big giggle – pure joy over something so small! Jeff started chasing her in and around the tree... read more

‘Q’ui Bids
Jeff came across this site a few weeks back, it’s called QuiBids and it is a auction run by Amazon.com. The interesting thing about this is that it is all penny bids. I’m not familiar with penny bids, but I did research the QuiBids method. Here is how it works, in a nutshell: You purchase bids for .60 cents each. Then you place a bid on an item you want to purchase, and continue bidding... read more

‘O’nly once a year…
We finally finished our landscaping today! We are not big yard/outside workin kindof people, so we have it all set up to be done for the year (crossing fingers), except for the mowing of course. My parents own the home and lived here years ago and did all the initial landscaping with 4 big beds with some small trees, bushes, and grasses. We did not do any weeding or planting this past year, and the... read more
