Fab 5 Friday!

1. Parenthood. This new show on NBC just premiered last week. It is a loose spin off from the movie of the same name with Steve Martin in the 80’s. It stars Lauren Graham of Gilmore Girl fame among other strong cast members. Here is a recap from hulu (where the first episode can be viewed for free!) “Parenthood is a drama about four adult siblings inspired by the box-office hit of the same name. Although each sibling and family has its own share of life to grapple with, perhaps this reunion is the push they need to help each other pick up the pieces and focus on the everyday challenges that families face while raising children and starting over.” I was initially excited to watch just to get a little glimpse of Loralei Gilmore in my life, haha, but look forward to next week’s episode so I can find out what is happening with each family!

2. Animal Crackers. I lie. I tell myself at the grocery store that I am buying these for Charlotte but really… they are for me :( Just sweet, simple, yummy goodness! There are many different versions of these, each brand has their own take on the “basic” animal cracker. I like them all. It’s true. Go grab a box for yourself :)

3.Swiffer Wet Jet. The life of mops and buckets and sloshy water is too much for me. It takes much longer to mop my floor, it is messy, and it usually takes a lot longer to dry. I love my wet jet since it cuts down on my mopping time by approximately half and it is easier on the back – no bending over to dip and squeeze and rinse the mop – I just hit the button on the handle and the magic cleaner is sprayed over the floor! It smells pretty good too!

4. Spring Hill Library Storytime! Charlotte and I went to our first storytime at our local library yesterday! We met friends Emily and her 1 year old Mia and my mom at 10 yesterday and were joined by about 15 other kids and their parents. It was much more than just reading a book and that made me happy! She told jokes, sang a couple songs with her guitar, and read quite a few books. It was very interactive and fun. I also didn’t feel bad that Charlotte and Mia were running around and not being mouse-like quiet! Charlotte’s favorite parts were the music and then watching all the other kids! Afterward, they had a craft for everyone to do that related to the main story. We opted out of the story since it was coloring with markers, so Mia and Charlotte just had fun running and playing! Best thing: it’s free! They have it every Monday-Thursday at 10. Join us sometime!

5. 12 hour allergy and sinus tablets. This past week I have developed a lingering allergy/sinus infection :( It hasn’t been that bad really, just some runny/stuffy noses and headaches. I love this walgreens brand medication since it is 12 hours I only have to remember to take it twice a day and it works for a long time! I use less tissues and have less sniffling. :)
