Charlotte’s First Haircut!

1 year and 2 weeks old brought Charlotte’s First Haircut!  Her hair has gotten very thick and very long, lately it has just become unruly as you can see, so a haircut was needed!

After lots of research (yes, research.  It may seem silly but if someone is coming at my daughters head with a sharp, pointy object they will be used to cutting wiggly toddler’s hair and keeping them entertained!  Plus, it’s just a few snips so I didn’t want to pay an obscene amount!)  I chose Snip-It’s in Cool Springs.  They only do kids hair, so the entire place is built to keep kids entertained and comfortable and the stylist are great with kids – plus you get toys and suckers!

I was a little worried because Charlotte had been a little clingy the last couple days because of her teeth and she had not taken a good nap this afternoon.  She definitely stayed with Mom and Dad in the lobby and didn’t really feel like exploring.   The seats were great, they were kid sized and had straps in for toddlers.  Charlotte was not a fan of being in the seat but then the stylist brought out the animal crackers and toy animal and it kept her happy enough to sit still for a few minutes.  I am thankful that there wasn’t a whole lot of hair to cut so the whole thing was less than 5 minutes.

The “hairstyle” isn’t a big change, it looks like she did a few months ago length wise but it is much more even, less crazy and sticky out places, and hopefully with the ends now trimmed her hair will grow longer faster :)  Sweet sweet baby girl!  And yes, we saved her sweet baby hair!

Awww! So cute! Did you keep a lock of her hair? (maybe that’s what’s in the baggie?)
