First Birthday present for this 1 year old!
Charlotte got her first birthday gift via UPS today! It came all the way from Lexington KY from Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Matt, and Cousin Reese! It was the perfect distraction this afternoon as a certain little one I know did not want to nap :)
We were very excited to open the gift and even more excited when we saw what it was! First up, a set of dishes! A great set of a divided plate, utensils, bowl, cup and even a silly cup with a twisty straw. Turns out this is also part of what Mommy and Daddy are getting Charlotte (shhh don’t tell!), the organizer in me is very excited that they will all match.
The second part of the gift is very very cool, something I had never seen before. It is a stuffed duck (Charlotte loves her duckies) with a very heavy bottom so he’ll sit down. Well, this stuffing is scented with Lavender – yum! – and you can put the whole duck in the microwave for 1 minute and it gets all warm and smells wonderful! (I think mom may steal it when her back hurts) How awesome is that?? I nuked it right away and sure enough, warm and smelly good! Charlotte wasn’t as impressed with the warmth and such, but as soon as Dad made it ‘talk’ she thought the duck was the funniest toy EVER. The girl giggled up a storm as the duck talked to her and tickeled her under her chin. We tucked her into bed with it for her nap after letting her play with her dishes some too – and duck did the trick and she was out like a light.

Jeff and Jordan have been married since August of 2005 and live in Spring Hill, TN. Jeff works at home as a producer and video editor for his company Light and Story. Jordan stays at home with Charlotte and babysits some of Charlotte's friends! Charlotte was born January 23, 2009. OMG I am in love with the dishes!! the ducky looks kinda scared sitting in the microwave…glad he didn’t get over cooked! ;)
